GreenCape, supported by the Western Cape Government, has published a case study looking at Warwick Wine Estate’s wastewater reuse project.

Warwick was looking for a sustainable source of irrigation water to see them through future droughts, which pose the risk of poor quality harvests and associated reductions in their wine sales revenue.

As such, a new 23 kl/d wastewater treatment plant and sewage collection system including pump stations were designed, installed and commissioned by Utico Water.

This case study showcases solutions to the Warwick Wine Estate's challenges, detailed business benefits, lessons learned and future plans.
