The CDI has launched its R33m Jobs Fund project, made possible with funding from the National Treasury through the Government Technical Advisory Centre (GTAC), Technology Innovation Agency (TIA) and the Western Cape Department of Economic Development and Tourism (DEDAT).

The fund is divided into three funding portfolios:

  1. The Growth Fund is open to businesses with turnover or assets of more than R1m with the ability to create 600 permanent jobs over a 3-year period. For more information and to apply please see www.cdicapital.co.za/GrowthFund
  2. The Innovation Fund is open to inventors who believe they have protectable innovative technological solutions that could impact on specific sectors and could create permanent jobs. For more information and to apply please see www.cdicapital.co.za/DISF
  3. The Working Capital and Term Loan Facility, provides working capital and term loans at reduced rates for the duration of the three-year project to provide access to cash flow during the growth stage of these SME’s. To be announced.
