GreenCape's Waste Economy Project would like to commission a service provider (legal firm) with specialists in legislation and regulations pertaining to energy, waste & environmental management, development & planning.

Renewable Energy is one of the fastest growing sectors in South Africa and it’s hard to believe that we have already reached the fourth round of Request for Proposals (RFP).

Industry speculation has been rife that the revised RFP expected ahead of the third round of bidding will contain significant changes to the economic development and local content criteria. Last week, successful first round bidders met with the DOE to discuss progress made by and challenges faced during the construction phase. This process highlighted the complexity around understanding and complying with economic development criteria as well as that of managing the local community trusts.
